The suburb of Carrara is approximately 13.8km2, with 19 parks covering approximately 26.3% of the area.
The population of Carrara as at the 2021 census was 13,138 compared with 12,040 in 2016 – a growth of 9.1%. In terms of cultural diversity, the majority of residents were born in Australia (67.7%), with New Zealand and English ancestry following behind at around 7.2% and 5% respectively.
The predominant age group is 50–59 years, primarily married couples. Generally, people in Carrara work in a professional occupation.
